MSX Village 2026

Two days of retro passion, sharing, and conviviality centered around the MSX and legendary computers.

On May 16 and 17, we are delighted to welcome you, together with the MSXiens de Montpellier team, to the annual MSX Village convention.
This event will be an opportunity for meetings and exchanges between MSX and retro-computing enthusiasts.
For this edition, we are pleased to count among our partners MO5.COM, several of whose members are also great MSX enthusiasts.
The program of this gathering will focus on sharing, friendliness, and good times together, especially around festive barbecues.

This year, we have an ideal setting to welcome participants, with an organization designed to create both fun and warm moments:

• A covered and secure space to set up your MSX computers, allowing everyone to discover the MSX universe: classic and modern games, demos, music, and many other creations presented by participants.

• A dedicated area for exchanging, trading, or selling MSX hardware and products.

• A repair workshop, led by our loyal JIPE, dedicated to diagnosing and restoring your MSX machines.
The service rates are currently being finalized with him and will be announced soon.

• A conference area, currently being scheduled, hosted by enthusiasts from the Z80 community.

• A small retro museum, on loan from MO5.COM, showcasing various machines ranging from Z80 systems to MSX computers, and ending with the Amiga that we all know.

• A relaxation area with a heated swimming pool, chill-out space, and barbecue area.

Meals

All meals will be prepared by the Montpellier team and will highlight local and regional products:
merguez sausages, traditional sausages, vegetable salads, seasonal fruits, and ice cream.

And of course, a brasucade — a typical dish from the south of France, consisting of mussels grilled over a barbecue.

A financial contribution will be requested from each participant.

Accommodation

Several options are available:

• Ibis Hotel, approximately 20 minutes away

• Guest rooms and holiday cottages to share, available between 5 km and 12 km away

• Camping at your host’s property, possible on a shaded 5,000 m² plot

Transport

For those who do not wish to come by car, the Montpellier team can provide transfers from Occitanie tram station, directly connected to Montpellier train station.

• Arrival: pick-up on Saturday for morning trains (between 10:30 am and 11:00 am)

• Departure: Sunday for trains between 5:30 pm and 6:00 pm
Occitanie station is located approximately 20 minutes from Saint-Roch station.

Carpooling between participants is also encouraged.

Secure parking will be available on site.

International Meeting

We are still awaiting confirmation, but members of the Italian MSX community may attend, further enriching exchanges and knowledge sharing around MSX.

For the first time, the convention will also be streamed live, allowing those who cannot attend in person to follow the event remotely.
